The Frames Game

There are many people who aren't blessed with super vision. I am one of them. I believe that frames make you or break you depending what you choose. I for one has made the worst choices when it comes to frames. Today I will write about how to choose the perfect frame and win the frame game!

Step One: Identifying

The first thing you need to do is identify your face shape and here is how:
  • Stand in front of a mirror
  • Pull all your hair back
  • Take a lipstick or an eye liner and trace your face

Study your face and try to match them with the following shapes

Made this using paint. Haha miss them good ole days! x

Here is what to remember when considering your face shape:

If you fit in the Oval Category

Well then you probably have a forehead that is  wider than your chin Think of your face as an upside down egg. You are luck my dear because people who have an oval shaped face can work out any frames. You should avoid any frame larger than your features.

If you fit in the Square Category

If your face is square, your face sides will be straight and face will be as wide as it is long. You should opt for oval or round frames. Butterfly frames would be suitable aswell. Avoid geometric or squared shape frames

If you fit in the Round Category

Ola sister from another mister! You and I both have round shaped face *Internet Hi5*
Basically we have chubby cheeks and our cheek bones are the widest part of the face. If you have a round face you should opt for angular frames. Avoid shorter frames.

If you fit in the Triangle Category

You have a broader jaw and a small forehead. Try semi rimless frames. Try to avoid the low set temples one. Always ask the guy in the store to help you out.

If you fit in the Diamond Category

Your face structure is narrow at the eye line and the jaw line with a small forehead and chin. You should use upswept styles like the cat eye frame *meooow* which will emphasize on your cheeks. Avoid narrow frames.

If you fit in the Oblong category

Narrow shape that's longer that it is wide. You should try frames create a shorter frames. Try wide frames. Avoid small, out of proportion frames.

If you fit in the Heart Category

Lastly, if you fir in the heart category, you have broad features and wide cheek bones. Frames you should opt for are the low set temples one. Do not try heavy frames.

Hope this post will help you in zee future
Love and Sprinkles x
